How does the Vampire Facelift work?
The first step is the application of a miniscule amount of injectable hyaluronic acid dermal filler (like Restylane or Juvederm). This adds youthful volume to the face, and structures it for the platelet rich plasma injection.
Blood is drawn from the patient and placed into a centrifuge where it is spun at an incredibly high speed. The centrifuge is able to separate the blood cells from the platelet rich plasma (PRP) which contains natural growth factors. The PRP is then injected into facial tissue so that it can stimulate the growth of new, healthier and younger tissue (stem cells, collagen and blood vessels).
The Vampire Facelift can treat:
- Lines at the corner of the mouth
- Dark circles under the eyes
- Lip volume
- Wrinkles on the forehead
- Smile lines
- Cheek volume
- Skin tone and texture
The whole procedure takes about 30-40 minutes and there is little pain. The areas of injection are numbed with an anesthetic cream, and a very thin needle is used for injections.
Results can be immediate, and continue to improve over weeks to months. However, as, the growth of new tissue becomes more apparent. The effects of the Vampire Facelift last approximately 8-12 months, but some women have felt its effects for up to 2 years.
